Hi! I’m Marissa
I’m a curious and thoughtful designer based in Portland, OR. and a Portland State Graphic Design graduate with a minor in Advertising Management.
I’m a 90s kid from Southern Oregon—growing up on memorized lines from Toy Story and counting my steps with the Skip It. I found design through my high school career day quiz and it’s stuck with me ever since. These days, I prefer hiking over running, Harry Potter over Star Wars, and always chocolate over vanilla (unless we’re talking about ice cream and pie, then definitely vanilla).
I’m passionate about clean, type-driven design and using both to tell stories while solving problems. I believe that good design is invisible and enjoy building design systems and experiences that are seamless.
I sweat the small stuff and love the details when it comes to UI/UX design, web design, and branding. At the end of the day, I love the way design builds community and how those communities can use it to create positive change.
I hope to focus on interactive design and branding and remain a constant learner. And also one day become a doting dog mom.
